Introductions - Newbie alert

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
Hello from Idaho! I am new to the board but not to two wheels. I am a recent convert from fat tires to skinny ones and am loving the change!
Hey Spudz! Welcome to the BF.
Hey, welcome, spudz. Is dodging potatoes on those skinny tires in Idaho as much of a problem as the rumors say it is?
Not really! Now, the sugar beets are another story! During the fall harvest, several will fall off of the truck and be lying in the road waiting for the unattentive cyclist!
Here in Georgia, we just have to put up with psycho squirrels that are constantly trying to commit suicide by running under your wheels.

As if that was limited to GA. Those little bastards are stalking me.

Welcome to BikeForums.
I lived for a while in Grand Forks, ND while attending college and during the fall harvest, we'd get these huge beet trucks driven by underaged kids on little sleep. I've been run off the road by them quite a number of times.
Yup, Raivn, I think I got a few of them in the St. Pete area as well when I was down there riding the Pinellas Trail. At least in Idaho the beets just lie there. The squirrels wait until you are on top of them to attack.
