So here's where I'm at: My '97 Ritchey spds are old and rusted, so it's time to replace. I've read some reviews of the Time ATAC XS pedal saying the sharp edges can be painful if you run into them. --Tis true?
In the other corner, are the Aliums durable enough for me (6'3" 205lbs) to set and forget?
Thanks for the help guys (and gals), I do appreciate it--
If you're not going to ride with non-SPD shoes, then just go for the Aliums, lighter and bullet-proof.
either pedal is durable enough for you I weigh 95kg and usually wear a back pack as well when I ride. I've used both pedals for long rides and had no problems. I wouldn't set and forget. Definitely stick to the recommended maintenance schedule - I did and the alium pedals have lasted for years.
