Mountain Biking - Lol? Adding v-brake bosses to disc-only forks?

I was surfing round the net and I stumbled upon a website where there was talk of these "v-brake mount kits" or whatever, and they said how you could turn a disc-only fork into a v-brake compatible one by drilling 8mm holes in the fork at x cm from... etc. Sounded weird at first, but then when I thought about it, it didn't sound that bad. :lol: Comments? I'd be damn happy if it was true, or at least if there was a way to but v-brake bosses/mounts/whatevers on disc only forks.

You could just install disk brakes like the good lord intended. If you want to adapt anything, get those hub adapters that add flanges for discs.

Disc brakes are better. And there is no better place to put them then the front.

Some of those "disc-only" forks have the holes for the bosses already they're just lacking the bosses themselves. Personally I'd rather have the discs.

69 dollars for Avid Mech disc brakes on price point...I think most people can afford that
