I will also be in Milwaukee this weekend but am a gimp with a bum knee(soccer related) Where in Milwaukee will you be and what are you there for? I will be on the eastside for birthday celebrations with my old friends :(

I can make some time if you guys have time. My flight gets in to Chicago at 5pm on the 8th, bike will be on the plane with me. I'll have to find a place to crash, but after that maybe a pub crawl or something? Or maybe a ride on the 9th during the day. I need to visit my grandparents in Burlington on my way to Milwaukee so my schedule is a little packed. Any of you guys gonna do Lord of the Chainrings? I'm gonna compete for DFL...

i'm in boston now for college, which i will be finishing up in about 3 weeks (!!!)
i'm from the east side of milwaukee originally and will be moving back there at the end of may.

i want to come ... i grew up there (milwaukee) too.

i want some sprecher. go on the brewery tour, you get free beer and all you can drink soda. and if you answer some question they give you a pint glass to get your refills. i love milwaukee.

i'll go to lord of the chainrings, if any chicago people want to go too, i have a car. oh and i'll probably be going up to milwaukee on the 30th too.

I'm gonna be between eastside and riverwest. Im not jewish, im just lookin for some transport and some people to ride with. Whatever. I think im gonna build a bumbike (jbweld) fixie just for visitors in austin. Why not? Its cheap and easy and why not help out other fixers when traveling sans bike?

I went to Milwaukee once. We drove all the way from Atlanta to Milwaukee for the hell/drinking of it. God that town drinks, and we drank with ya'll. Coming back we hit Chicago traffic. That sucked more than Milwaukee drinks.

i grew up in MKE as well.

Gotta check out Onopa brewing. It's like $2 or $3 for their craft brewed beers, but more notably, they have the best selection of $2 beer-in-cans that i've ever seen. It's fun to line up the 8 varieties and taste test 'em against eachother. I'd say Schlitz is the best, followed by Hamm's and Black Label, with PBR and Natty taking last.

Between the eastside and riverwest? Sounds like you're staying in the river. Or are you just parking your van on its mighty banks? When in Riverwest Nessun Dorma gots good, cheap eats. Onopa is cool, and it's worth grabbing a cold one at the Riverhorse too. Or roll a few balls at the Polish Falcon. Just don't roll on Shabbos.

I am an eastside type, will probably be at the Vox Music Lounge on Prospect tonight for my birthday celebrations. I'll be th eone that can't stand sttraight. I love milwaukee, the only place you can get a beautiful One bedroom with a lake view for $500/month

milwaukee's good. I was there for a couple weeks housesitting last month. mostly just rode back and forth between my sisters house and this coffeehouse named Fuel. reasonably cool place if you need some java. saw a few fixies though. some messenger downtown has a sweet waterford fixed that I was lusting after.

all this milwaukee talk is making me really look forward to moving back in a month.
fuel is allright, too smoky for my taste.

so is anyone actually riding on saturday? i am in for a ride, we could do a brew tasteing ride (where to meet?) and i could build you up a spare fixie but i need a frame. i have every other part and i am looking to build up a spare so if anyone in milwaukee has an extra frame+fork hangin around that they want to unload for free or 20-30 bucks let me know.

i have an old kmart all pro 10 you can have it you want it...i dunno if I would trust it, though...just thought I'd throw it out there..I'll even try to finish taking it apart if you just want the frame/fork...haha otherwise try bike shops when they close...sometimes they'll leave bikes out for the recylcler to pcik up...i got a shwinn letour that way that I built for a friend at absolutely no cost...
