I have a circle route on main feeder roads through two high end districts. All sale signs are on these roads with arrows in or out. If you go early you might find some high end stuff if the asking price is reasonable. If you go at 3:00, you can get whatever is left for what you are willing to pay.

I tell my grandparents exactly what I am looking for. If they call me before 8am, I can be pretty sure they have something at want to verify it with me. They are the OCD type that want to be the first there and always wake up at the crack of dawn. They have the Chicago Tribune's Classified add section highlighted with Key sales before they go to bed on thursday nights. Best part is, almost no effort for me!
