Wee Dougal's effort in locking up his bike. He was working at this for about half an hour.

[Edit: different picture with the boy in it. He's pretty pleased with himself]

You've taught him well, not only does he include frame & both wheels, but he's got h-bars, trainers & saddle! Save that picture, even though he will be mortified by it when a teen-ager. I have one of our 2 year old son trying to pick a bike lock with a blade of grass, 26 years later he finds it still embarassing but now allows that it is a cute picture.

No, it's real string, just a lot of it. The funny thing is, he only put one loop through the water pipe. Still, it took a good while to disentangle it all.

He worked on it for a half an hour. How long will daddy work on getting it free while retaining the integrity of the rope? ;)
