same idea as the swingbike. I built one, it's a little odd but lots of fun to watch people try to ride it.http://www.bikeforums.net/<a href=

my circa 1990 Vista mountain bike frame with second top tube from a 60s girl's cruiser added in, aluminum louvered tank plates made at a hot rod shop and painted by me. motorcycle chain coaster brake arm mount, brass door knob added for effect. late 20s gothic truss fork. fun pub cruiser.

Love your bike man !!! really cool work.

Does my new grocery-getter count?
[Found an old Steel MTB frame in the local rubbish coral round the corner. Bit of angle-grinding, some powder-coat from the nice people at Armourtex in Hackney and some choice parts and I can now present 'Grocery Getter'. Waiting on a kickstand and some sort of box for the rack. 3 speed Sturmey Archer with back-pedal brake, hub brake at front. Seriously good fun.

Nice clean look love the brown parts :thumb: and those red rims give that bike a bit off the hot-rod style

Because off the love for brown parts we build bike's like the following.
Dutch design MultiCycle frame ( New Old Stock ) in ivory and just that little bit more brown with the tire's from de Chopperdome over here in Holland.
With a nice heavy duty front carrier ( those are a hot item now here in holland )

Links to other sites should ultimately be viewable immediately although members' personal links may requiresome registration or other appropriate security measures. Off-topic site links should be denoted to allow an option allow the reader to skip over them.

Facebook is noit the best place to send members due to it's various security risks and other member's account which may not be humky-dory to all from time to time. A photohosting account, personal website or posting here is preferable to joining websites pell mell, willy nilly. A video site like You Tube that doesn't require membership to view is fine but remember that content should be acceptable to administrators and members (do recall 'rickrolling' and why a few members got banned at least temporarily).

Another reason is evident in some threads where the photo was deleted by the photohost and there is a sea of X's and error messages and then never edited by the poster(s). I wish the admins would contact them or clean those up as they are a disappointing eyesore,

a couple of the latest projects while i'mhere with photobucket up

for a buildoff on ratrod. tried to make a lighter cruiser than my regular stretches. it is lighter, but that's not saying much
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y295/Philphine/Picture093-2.jpg

a for fun idea i got from someone else. take a little bike and add parts from a bigger bike to it. in this case a 20 mountain bike with 26" suspension pieces. need to decide on a rear shock to finish it.

a much earlier bike i kind of messed up, now i'm playing with it as a bagger project

Thanks. The balance on it is perfect. You actually sit forward of where you would on just the bottom frame alone.

How does it handle with the negative-raked front fork? (That is, if you dare ride such a work of art).

This is a dot-matrix picture of my velomobile creation. I got a digital camera and a flatbed scanner for Christmas.

http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q119/hotbike/IMG_0008.jpg

here's a shot from the 10 megapixel camera, showing the latest mods, a set of rear panniers.

http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q119/hotbike/IMG_0009.jpg

http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q119/hotbike/IMG_0011.jpg

the panniers are made of "coroplast" - corrugated plastic, from an election campaign ad. The rack is two steel tubes, 1/2" by 3/4" by 28" long. I used large fender washers and some blue loctite to hold it together. the rear markwer lights and turn signals had to be removed to install the panniers, I have the batteries removed too, they are not holding a charge for more than 20 minutes.
Happy New Year! May 2010 bring the most radical, eye-popping bike ever seen!

Subject: Bike Riding...5 miles a day
Don't you think it's time we all became more physically active?

Beginning Jan. 1st,a few friends & I will be riding 5 miles every day.

If any of you would like to join our Bike Club, please let me know
and we can make arrangements.

I think it would be appropriate to ride somewhere between 4:00 and 7:00 pm.

We can call it "happy hour", and pick you up on the way.

Let me know if this works for you.

I have attached a photo of my bike....

I have similar plans for my 1979 Schwinn Spitfire 5. I already have a muscle bike 5 speed stick shift and Kenda Flame tires ready for it. As you can see there is no chrome left on the rims, but they are still very sound. I plan to paint them primer red.
