Kemmer, I plan on building bikes that are a cross between a chopper and a recumbent. And I'm only 40 miles south of you.

http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b157/rohorn/daddio1.jpgThat bike is the coolest bike I've seen. I really like the clean, uncluttered design. Did you make this yourself? If so, how much would you charge to make another one just like it?

Really? I'd love to build a few more bikes, and one like this is on my list. I also want to build a four wheeled 5 passenger rig for the whole family. I just need a welder, but all my bike lust is sucking up my spare cash. Let me know when you start building, I'd love to come help.

Is that a 3speed coaster brake hub? I don't see any brakes on that thing. The more I look at it the more I like it. It looks like it would be like riding a huge big wheel. Is anyone thinking fixed gear?

Everyone: Thanks!

It was built on my front porch and welded in the kitchen. I'm not in a position to build any copies for anybody, but I'm very honored by the request! At the risk of sounding spammy, I do have a "cookbook" for building one - it's a 1.3m .pdf file. It's cheap - PM me if you're interested.

It does have a 3 speed coaster brake hub - it works great.

It took a few minutes to get the hang of it when it was new - and a few weeks to get smooth with it.

I kind of took it for granted that it would take a little getting used to, all cool bikes do. :D

Here is my pixie that I built up yesterday. I just fount out that the bikeproject gives these things away because they get so many. I was told to "Take as many as you can", but I only took one. Made it more rideable with a stem, larger bars, and a comfortable seat. Added the fenders becuse they are just cool. It is very easy to ride and is acually comfortable. :D
http://i74.photobucket.com/albums/i247/roughrider504/SUNP0018-3.jpg
EDIT: Dug around in my parts bin and put together a new setup. I can acually use most of the hand positions. Next time I go to the bikeproject, I can get a wheel with a freewheel instead of a coaster, and put on brakes. I love these things.

some of my rides...

"Al Frankenstien" Shown while receiving a new rear triangle which will now house a 3 speed internal hub instead of a seven/eight speed mtb hub. Front is shifted by hand or foot.

Here is "Foghorn Longhorn" another creation, I especially like the bars I built for this one. Constructed over 2 evenings.

My tallbike "Pat". Hopefully he/she will get painted soon, just need a day above 40F... Might have to wait till spring...

http://img242.imageshack.us/img242/2213/p1010011sc1.jpg

All made with hacksaw/bench grinder/arc welder and a couple rattlecans.

All donor frames were found at the dump or free. My neighbors see me out tinkering and riding all the time, they are nice enough to pick up bikes with "Free" signs and leave them in my backyard for me to chop up and put back together. :)

Here is the finished product (until I find a rear tire and matching mirror). I added decals and fork re-enforcers, as well as matching the paint on front end. Lemme know what y'all think. :D

I have a frame with identical dropouts, no idea of the brand. It has a leading link suspension fork.... probably be a drop-in for that frame. ;)
