Just watched my recording of the LBL. He didn't win it, but JV is rapidly topping my list of favorite riders. The man goes all out in any race he's in...

He's a stud, no doubt. Always on the attack. Always trying to make it a race. You have to respect that.

I've been seeing his name pop up in conversations lately... it would be cool to see him winning more.

I missed LBL. Damn Tivo somehow didn't tape! Waaaaaah! All I got was the recap on BBC News.

I feel sorry for the guy.. he was pushing himself like crazy for the Classics.. I was gunning for him to win at least one of them...
He was in the lead for Liege-Bastonne.. and lost in the sprint.. sigh..
But more points for CSC, which is nice...

There's a great article on him in CycleSport USA this month. Check it out.

Watching him hold his aero tuck in some part of LBL really got me pumped up. His bars were maybe a foot below his seat yet he held that position solid yet looked loose & comfortable. Then Phil Liggett (I think) comments that he was going over 60 mph. I felt the adreneline rush on my couch...

he's awesome. I'm glad CSC has him. I forget the stage but in TdF '04, Riis told him to sit up and wait for Basso when Ullrich attacked and he was in danger of losing 2nd place. Voigt was in the lead break, sat up, took on carbs, then took Basso and Lance (in the game group) up and over with only Landis taking turns with him.

Hopefully, his still tuning up for The Tour :)

He is awsome. Go CSC!
He seems like a cool guy too. Read the PEZ's interviews.
