Roadmaster Mt. Sport SX

does anyone else ride a Roadmaster?

i am new to this sport, and just after riding around a little bit in my back yard, in my driveway, i am already having i blast... i plan on doing a little freestyle but alot of the reason i got a bike, was to shed off my gut... i'm 5' 9" and 150-ish lbs :( . Eeek! it's not that bad of a gut, but eh... what can i say?

I ride a single speed miyata i built from scratch to work every day. and i've got a giant OCR2 road bike that i ride whenever. The former has 1 gear and the latter has 27. I love the simplicity of the single but having that many gears and the ability to shift so nicely with the STIs is great.... I need to finish my MTB so i'll have something to ride on nasty wet days like today.
I wish I could build a 6'' bike and teach my kitty to ride! MEOW =^-^= we almost named him "velo" .... I tried really hard to talk my girlfriend into naming him that.
I'm thinking of building another bike purely for speed. then i would have four bikes in my tiny tiny apartment.
I've already gotten rid of the kitchen table to make room for a repair stand, am I crazy?

My vehicle is a good light touring bike of unknown manufacture, with a mongrel collection of components. Its the best riding bike Ive ever had, and the best £100 I ever spent.

Mine's a Specialized Expedition comfort bike, which is gradually becoming more and more customized. Slow, (or maybe that's just me) but a sweet ride nonetheless.

Enjoy your Roadmaster! :P I've been where you are, and I've put in lots of Huffy time--much better than having no bike at all!

BTW, what part of Wisconsin are you from? I'm near Green Bay...

I rode a Schwinn mesa runner with 24" wheels throughout high school and most of college. Then I got a car. Last year I found an old schwinn traveler 10-speed for a couple bucks and rode that. This year I bought a specialized sirrus (had to buy now before my wife goes back to school and we have no $). The sirrus is fast compared to the others of course but I did like my indestructable schwinn too.
I just moved and there's no room in this tiny apartment for the traveler...I gave it away :( But my commute has doubled so that will be extra riding time at least!

My current bike is a real mutt! A Cannondale CAAD3 frame with a mix of Shimano 105/RX100/RSX/Sora components. Cromoly fork, Campy veloce front hub, Trek seatpost, Salsa bars, STX headset, etc. Even the tires are mismatched Michelin and Conti. to top it off its painted flat black and is really ugly.

I'm currently trying to talk my wife into letting me get a brand new bike. I'm thinking maybe a good steel frame...Campy...mavic...:)

My brute commuter is a Giant Rincon SE (hardtail) which is my foul weather bike. My mountain bike, which I have been using to commute, is a Specialized Stumpjumber FSR XC. I usually go for rides at lunch (except these past few days, which have been like 90 deg. Fahrenheit - too hot!) so that's why I ride my nice bike to work.

My primary commuter is . . .

Late 70's/early 80's Miyata lugged steel frame, built into a fixed/singlespeed with a flip/flop rear wheel. Most the time I commute free (42x16) due to multiple and long traffic lights, and ride club rides fixed (42x15).

Equipped with SKS fenders, blinky rear and Schmitt hub generator/lumotec in the front (only when the season requires). Bullhorn handlebars with reverse levers. brakes front and rear. I won't ride any rubber but Conti's or sit on anything but a Brooks. Carradice Nelson saddlebag hauls all my clothes and ****. Old, Ultegra road SPD's (no longer available--too bad as these are one of the finest pedals ever--thank God I've still got three pair.

A 12 year old Specialized Stumpjumper - all original components...

Regular commuting bike: GT Tequesta MTB with Tioga City Slicker tires, Shimano 858 clipless pedals, Serratus Aquanot Pannier, mudguards, Bikeplanet head and tail lights (approx 34 lbs fully loaded).

Zero Percent Chance Precipitation commuting / Weekend bike: Specialized Allez Sport road bike.

I ride a 2002 Jamis Aurora. 24-speed, light blue ... nice bike.

I ride a Merida hybrid city bike. I have changed the tyres to panaracer thin tyres and ripped off all the extra weight. It is a pretty good ride apart from the weight.
