I've seen a few real bikes on the web, but never in a catalog. Why?

My SN = N1B05"XX"

Script "Raleigh" on the DT, Script "Super Gran Prix" on the TT...

I just got a super grand prix from a friend to refurbish. The bike's in really good shape, with just a top tube rub (and the new owner's responsible for that!). Needs a general tune and clean, a new seat and tape, and it'll look like it just left the showroom floor. Very close to mink blue on the Raleigh Pro. Bar end shifters. Suicide brake lever extensions. Sound like yours?

They have the specs for them in the catalog, but I haven't seen pictures either. I think at this point all we can do is speculate as to why. I suspect they neither made, nor sold very many of them.

Major color is Light Bronze or Tan with dark brown head tube / lettering. Raleigh special butted CroMo, I forget the number they used, 20 40? There's one in the finished auctions on ebay like mine.

Non-hooded Weinmann levers and centerpulls labelled "Raleigh", no suicides, brown cloth tape. Photos in the Catch of the Day thread right now. It had non-original wheels and rear der., and now has a Sora RD and Weinmann 27"s from Harris. Nice wheelset for the money.
