alright, my seat is creaking and I can't get it to stop no matter what I try. I have one of the last sloping top tube KHS's. . . I'm not sure what year it is because I powdercoated over the serial number. I'm thinking I might have the wrong sized seatpost, but it seems to fit pretty snug in there without even tightening the seat clamp. Does anybody know the right sized seat post for a 99-01 khs as described above? I have tried several seats and they all end up creaking like this too. I admit it could be something I'm doing while riding but I'm not sure what I am doing wrong. so any suggestions???

DO you grease the seatpost before installing it ?
Another thought is how long is the post , is there a lot of seatpost in the seattube.

I used to ride a Airborne Single speed and the post would creak no matter what I did.
Turns out the was flex in the seattube and the only way to stop the creak was to shorten the post a bit.

Might as well grease the saddle rails and cradle on seatpost, too...they'll sometimes creak and drive you crazy.
