I'm new to triathlons and duathlons this year. I'm wondering if it is worth changing shoes for a 10-12 mile bike ride and a 3 mile run. I'm comfortable with either toe clips or clipless pedals. What do you folks do?

Clipless. Much more efficient than with toeclips due to the stiffness of the sole of the shoes versus the very flexible running shoes... (although you might save time in T2 by not having to change shoes....)

Clipless. Whith some drilling, you can cut your "T" time down to nearly the same as cages.

Clipless, for sure.
