what else but to rant? I have been a longtime customer of Nashbar (15 years +) and live in NC (where they have their warehouse with performance (same co.)) BUT NO LONGER!
I guess they were always a bit slow when ordering, but lately it gets worse and worse .... FOR EXAMPLE...i ordered same day (via mailed check) to 3 different bikestores....JensonUSA, Nashbar and Icycles...got my stuff from JensonUSA about a week after I sent it (unbeLIVEable...they are in california), and icycles not long after...nashbar however took about 24 days!!!!! and their warehouse is 60 min.s from where i live!>>>>no, you can't go pick it up from warehouse. THIS IS NOT FIRST TIME...in fact, I have always waited longer for nashbar stuff and it was ok cause they do have some things not found anywhere else (sizes and sales and such).

This alone isn't cause to rant, but their customer service ABSOLUTELY is suckin hard these days....didn't even send tracking number after 2 requests...I thought the stuff was lost! JensonUSA on the other hand had a client service rep personally CALL ME ON THE PHONE to tell me an ordered item was no longer in stock THANK YOU!!!! and sent refund check. NASHBAR waS out an item i ordered and never sent check, never informed me, and "supposed" they'd hold a store credit for me in my next order.....YUCKO!!!!! There are many more examples from the past but I have had it...YOU SHOULD TOO. This happens if I order with creditcard or MO or whatever....P-U Nashbar, figure it out, customer service is important and time is of the essence when you are an everyday rider....but I guess you don't give a damn....NOW I DON't and will never use your "services" again and will do my utmost to tell all my friends and their friends etc....I realize this is no great concern to such a big company but I WILL DO WHAT I CAN to raise this issue...I order lots of stuff online and have dealt with many slack companies but you are REALLY THE WORST!

Instead of b!tchin' here call nashbar up and let them know how
you feel.......and why? Sound like they need a new carrier for the
orders they get to me. With compines like this I've found that often
they don't know that customers are getting product later and later.


Do I buy from nashbar? Yep, had a couple of problems and was
on the phone like a shot talkn' to customer service. Got the problem
resolved pronto and discount to boot. It don't do no good to b!tch
here so get on the phone, mate.

Same here. I got my stuff in about a week and received 20% off. This was my second order. I also received my stuff in about a week and got 10% off on my first order.

It was one that I got off of this forum, but it was good for only three days as I recall. It was one of those 20% discount coupons when one purchased $75 in merchandise - an easily attainable goal!

Gee, me too. 20% off and recived in under a week via USPS even. Usually takes about a week and a half.

I ordered using a canadian credit card, shipped to florida, using 10-day shipping. My relatives received the whole order a few days later, and I could watch the progress with the tracking number Nashbar sent me.

I'm not sure what circumstances brought about that 24-day shipping time, but I think it's time you got a credit card...

Ditto! I was surprised: I only paid for regular ground. The order must have been processed the same day. Placed the order over the internet. Couldn't have been any easier or better performance. But, for every rant, there must be 100s of thousands of dissatisfied clients. Right? Riiiiiight. :D

I've ordered many times from Nashbar before, and I almost always get what I ordered 5 business days later (I'm in CA). Personally I think Nashbar is the better of the three entities under Performance Bike. The best online bike vendor for me so far is JensonUSA.

I haven't had a problem with Nashbar or Performance. I use them often and give them both my 2 thumbs up.

I ordered a vetta saddle and a chain cleaning tool yesterday afternoon. I paid for second day delivery and they are sitting on my desk just 18 hours later.

The key here is that the OP mail ordered it with a check. There are several things there that could have held up the Nashbar order. I have used the web order system there a few times, and I never had a problem.

Now the out of stock things is another story.
