Besides commuting, what other types of cycling do you do? Select as many as apply.

I wonder if I'm the only one here who only cycles to commute? (Plus local errands where possible, of course.)

As well as commuting I like to get out for a ride with a bunch of guys on Saturday mornings.

I've also cycled across Australia 5 times as well as cycling in India twice and in Canada for a week once.

Other = race in triathlons. Could be same as road racing, but its totally different. No drafting, no race tactics, just head down, hammer, repeat.

Besides commuting, I often go on long rides just for the sake of riding. For some reason, the sensation of running for hours at a time at 15 - 20 mph is just satisfying - perhaps we are evolved from migratory animals in the distant past and I am a throwback ?

Since I don't drive, I also use my bikes for shopping and errands on a daily basis.

I marked recreation..TO me recreation includes touring which i do also..In fact touring is the reason for all the other cycling to count towards keeping me ready for the next tour..whenever that might happen..Hopefully, one big tour (like a week in length ) a year and maybe one or two weekenders..

I commute,
ride for excercise,
ride offroad technical,
ride offroad theraputic,
ride offroad thrills,
testride,
re-testride,
fake train to be a racer ride, (real training, fake racing),
small tours,
inner city, surround area visits,
urban -'watcha wanna do?' ride bikes and hop stuff, get a soda. :)

Now I'm learning to hop on my rear tire then bunnyhop, hard on an Xc bike.
Probably it's just hard for ME.
