I ride a 47cm bike and there is very little room for a decent sized water bottle on my bike. Every time I go for a drink, I have to mash the bottle against the top tube to get it in and out of the cage. I was told to try a side mounted bottle cage. The bottle slips out the side instead of up and over the top, eliminating all the top tube mashing. However, it just does't look very secure to me. Wouldn't the bottle go flying as soon as I went over a bump? Anyone else have any experience with one of these?

I was thinking of investing in to these in addition to two cages on my frame, when I bring my bike to Ysomite this summer.

I installed a side mounted cage on my wife's hybrid because it had a step-through frame. It was a cat cage and was very secure, not sure about those Elite ones. The thing about the cat cages are they can be installed either traditionally or on their sides.
