Ok guys. I'm still in the middle of figuing out which locks to send back to Kryptonite! Anyone out there own this little (big actually) gem of a lock? When I bought it, it was the biggest, baddest, toughest U-lock on the market. And I'm not convinced that it can be Bic Pic'd anyway. (I've rekeyed the older Kryptonite K4's - jamming a Bic Pen in there, first won't fit, and second won't magically make the pins align.)
I had special "Bad Bones" custom made for the lock and even a special "cuff" from a massive pipe T-joint form the hardware store. When it's outfitted with all that junk, it's one bad-ass lock! And it's my "high-crime area" lock.
Krypt. wants to send an Evo 2000 Mini LS in replacement. I don't think I'd trust that lock as much as my trusty old heavy Rock Lock.
Anyone own the Rock and have any advice*? I'd really like Krypt. to send a New York lock as a replacement (I also have a NY chain). I'm not trying to be pushy or whine, I just want the biggest, baddest, toughest lock to replace it. I'm a little twisted when it comes to locks anyway, and I told Krypt. that too!
