Got both of those frames and am deciding which one to use for my first fixie. I am a big guy so I don;t know if the Raleigh would hold up with the Aluminum Frame. But I like it much better then the Trek. I am 260 pounds and 6'2. Would the aluminum be a problem for me?

I'd build the Trek. Does the Raleigh Technium even have horizontal dropouts?

I think they have horizontal dropouts, but didn't they have alu tubes bonded to steel lugs like alan and vitus? I would avoid if you are a heavy rider, those skinny bonded alu frames flex a lot, or at least vitus did.

I've been riding a tecnium for 16 years. I've never had a problem (though I am about 100 pounds lighter than 260). I'm not a big subscriber to the aluminium fatigue reputation. Empricism over theorism.

Anyhoooo, if you have two frames, build whatever one you want. you already have a spare if you dont like your initial choice.
