Could some one please guide me in the direction of some good solid dirtjumping forks, i know the obvious answer would be marzo's Dj's but whats good from rockshox, manitou and other forks. Im sort of getting annoyed with using triple clamps in dirtjumping. Thanks

You could go with Zochs Z1 series and extra heavy springs or their new 66 series. Thats is what I use. I typically do not like RockShox or Manitou. You could even use Fox. Are you trying to save some money? If not then I would stay with the Zochs.

Since you are coming from dc's, doyou want to go with longer travel (5 or 6) or short travel. I went from a slider to the marz dj and loved the drop in travel (I have the 4in ver). Suited jumping a lot more I found :)

i want somthing with great rebound, but 100-130mm is my preference, and money? well i would like to go on a budget type fork but i am prepared to wait and save up. I was told dj3's had awesome rebound?

Do you want a fast rebound so you can pump it before a jump? A DJ3 will have fast rebound unless you put heavier oil in it. I recommend the Z1 series though.

can you please post a link to the Z1 forks?

Ok...save money and get the fr2. Same damping, no eta to break and its already 130mm and you save money.

Good idea. The only problem is that I havent seen it anywhere except for being OEM. Marzocchi lists it under the aftermarket products so maybe BTI or QBP would have them.

I have looked at many sites and I also was unable to find one aftermarket.

Are forks which just have a coil in them with rebound adjusters bad?

Are forks which just have a coil in them with rebound adjusters bad?

Forks that are considered bad have no cartridge damping or adjustments.

The Z1 FR has marzocchi's best damping; HSCV.

Steer clear of suntour.

One of my mates has Suntour Sr duro triple clamps, he does some wicked stuff, and they do fine from what i can tell, no flexing, smooth and strong, i dont see whats wrong with them, i wouldnt touch single crown suntours though.

So, why should i stay away from them when i have a perfect example that they work fine, hes cased it front on and they are still fine.
