View Full Version : 16" front wheel?
Help! I bumped my rim and got a flat spot. Ka-thunk Ka-thunk! I want a new or used wheel 16X1.5 (305mm). I'll use the old one to learn how to build wheels. Anybody got a good source? Thanks!!

I tried looking up some places on the net for a rim like that. Wow, now I know why you're asking here. I'd check your LBS. Mine has some pretty extensive part catalogs.

Try Gaerlan. He has 16" rims:

hey thanks! Gaerlan looks perfecto.
By the way, I pretty much shun the LBS because they always give me a load of crap about the recumbent I ride. There are no recumbent shops within 50 miles of where I live, and I don't drive. The last time I was in there looking to get a simple service, one of them had the nerve to say to me, "Why don't you just get a real bike?" So I've been investing in tools and learning to do it myself.

Off subject but your avatar looks like Maynard from the Dobie Gillis show. Is that what it is?

That's right! It's Maynard G Krebbs. "The G stands for Walter."
