Anyone else had problems with these? When I went to my LBS I was given Deore Hydraulic Disc pads, for a model BR-M555, I thought that there was only one kind of Deore hydraulics so I paid no attention to the model number. When I got home and tried to fit them I found that the tabs on the pads were on the wrong place. When I took my bike and the pads back to my LBS they couldn't find the appropriate ones for my brakes but then found that Deore mechanical pads fitted it exactly! Shouldn't Shimano tell you this in their manula?
I'm probably whining too much but it did seem a little odd

that part number is for the deore hydraulic brakes...

i dont actually know what the difference is BUT ive been told that theres a reason they sell mechanical and hydraulic pads separate...again...idk why they wouldnt work interchangebly but your not supposed to use one with the other even IF they fit

i THINK the surface on the back of the pad where the piston pushes agaist is defferent...idk
