Without the markings intact it is a little hard to tell. For sure it is pre 1999 8 speed era. At least Chorus or Record. Mirage had plastic shift levers. Athena and Veloce used bronze bushings on the main shaft and Chorus/Record used a bearing. There is no real way to tell unless you disassemble the right lever and see if it has bearings. Then you have to see if any of the hardware is titanium. The difference in price between a Record and a Veloce level is substantial. I would assume Veloce and pay accordingly and be satisfied it is Veloce, ecstatic if Record. Rahter than pay Record money and feel ripped off it turns out to be Veloce! Good luck.

Go to www.branfordbike.com. They have a parts breakdown on line that might help.
