Hey! I wanted to take my tubulars with Suntour hubs & turn them into clinchers.

They're somewhat old but in great shape. Is there any problems with doing so?

pancake bunny.... where are you?

you mean you want to relace your Suntour hubs to new Clincher rims? Shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure you re-lace them with the exact same pattern as they're currently laced up with. The spokes can wear grooves into the holes after being laced for a while. It has been said that changing the lacing pattern can make the hub weaker.

For a minute there, I thought I dropped acid. Weird. I have heard of clincher tubulars (http://www.tufonorthamerica.com/tiretypes.php), but never the reverse.
Lousy hooka-smokin' catepillar lied...
