I own a Fuji from around 1975 that was stored since the early 80's. It's a Fuji Special Road Racer?. Does anyone have any advise as to how I would price this on ebay or craigs list or locate additional information?

What model? Fuji Finest or Pro from that vintage should command some respect...does it still have the stickers? Are the head lugs chromed? Post a picture or two...old Fuji's are often pretty cool.

From what I seem to recall, it isn't much different (if at all) from an STS-10. Nice bike, but closer to mid-level than the top.

I have what I think is a 1974 Special Road Racer. I initially thought it was a S-10-S, but was informed here that it was actually marketed as a different model. From the description on Sheldon Bown's site (and one other I can't find) it had all the same components as the S-10-S. I use it as a single speed beater right now. There is almost an entire Coke can put into this bike.

It has half chromed rear stays and a chrome fork. Mine is all white (paint is shot) as have been the others I have seen. It had Maxy cotterless cranks without a spider, forged Nitto stem and Nitto bars, Dia Compe centerpulls. Mine had Araya steel rims, but some had Ukai Al rims. I think it was closer to entry level of Fuji's bike boom entries.

You're correct. I got my letters and numbers mixed up.

It's green with some chrome. I think it has the stickers. I'll take some pictures tonight and post tomorrow. Thanks for the advise.

OK, most of my original pre-purchase information came from oldroads.com site, not Sheldon's site. Mine matched everything except the Belt seat which had been replaced. I paid $50 for it and I over paid for the bike itself based on the condition fo the chrome and paint. So goes eBay. But, it did come with a nice Blacburn rack that made the purchase worthwhile.

Most of them that I have seen for sale have been in the $50 to $100 range.

Geez. I read that and read that, and every time I read 'seat belt' for 'belt seat'. I never saw a bike with a seat belt! Took a while for my dyslexia to reverse, I guess. I have a spare Belt seat, btw, if you'd like to put it back to stock...

Thanks for the offer, but I have it as a SS city bike. The only things original to it are the frame, brakes, and BB. Everything elese has been changed out: stem, bullhorns, seat, post, cranks, wheels.

I am hanging onto the Nitto stem and bars. The stem is pretty cool looking, and I can't seem to get the bars out no matter what I try (without doing some gouging).

I can't seem to attach the picture files as the limit is 100kb, yet each of my pictures is 1.3MB?

you'll need to downsample the pictures somehow. You can crop off unneeded margins, and/or reduce the pixel count (pixels/inch) to get the pic down to 100k. Your camera or scanner software has the functionality, probably. 72 p/in is gonna be grainy probably, 96 will probably work okay (more is better for image recognition, but occupies geometrically more space).
