Hi folks!

I am an avid mountain biker who just ordered a road bike - a Trek 5200. I had a knee operation in April, and I've been advised not to mountain bike until October. This was all the excuse that I needed to take the plunge into the world of road riding!

Anywho, I live south of Pittsburgh, PA and currently own a Trek 930 and a Klein Attitude. I'm still in physical therapy (in fact, my next session is in 30 minutes!), but I'll be back in the saddle very soon - like next week.

I look forward to reading (I've lurked for a few weeks ;) ), and posting here!! :D

bac, Welcome to the Forums. Hope your therapy goes well and your healing has no complications. You've got some fine bikes there. Hope you'll keep us informed about your progress in recovery and riding again.

Hi Bac! and welcome.

I am recently converted to a new road bike, mine is a Look KG frameset with full Ultegra groupo, and I am loving it , after years of mountain biking and commuting on a hybrid, it is a revelation to cover the miles with one of the modern light-weight bikes now on the market.
I met up with a roadie a few days ago who was on a Trek 5200, man that is a really sweet bike .
Im sure you will have many an enjoyable ride to come, I`m aiming for my first century soon , think it will be quite soon as i managed a trip of 77 miles yesterday.

Regards Willi`c

BAC,

If it's physical, it's therapy. Enjoy riding wherever. Welcome to the forum.
