if i get a quick release single speed hub for my jump bike, will it slip about? in theory it just seems asthough an axel hub would hold better, but i can get a dmr revolver ss qr hub pretty cheaply in my wheel build at chain reaction cycles,
please help!!!
cheers

You can replace the axel with a non-QR.

Yes. A QR won't slip, provided that your dropouts are steel, your hub locknuts are large, serated steel, and your QR faces are also serated steel.
You can run tugnuts (tensioners) with a QR if you have horizontal/track ends.

fwiw I've been running a qr on a ss mtb commuter for a few weeks with no problems. It's geared in the 70s and I've been riding it on a 5km uphill with no problems at all.

i have what is basically a QR conversion on phil wood hubs and they do slip, however with a tensioner this is not an issue.

Get a chaintug and you're square.
