what did you pay?

$135 for both

A little steep, but i had $180 store credit there and they had nothing else I really wanted, so i said what the heck. I have noticed they run cooler and they clean the dirt and mud out of the calipers alot better. Also the six screws that hold them on, that comewith them are huge and bulky, and they are allen wrench so they dont strip as easily.

How much difference do new rotors make?

none! but they look cool

Ya, no real big difference, only little things. Looks are the main reason to get new rotors, or if your old rotors are bent outta whack too much to even bother with bending back.

I've found the opposite to be true.

Good call, thats what I switched to. I hate torx.

The only cool thing I found with the bolts that come with the Gothics is the fact that they are chrome as opposed to the matte finish of the Torx bolts that came with my Avids

135 bucks for two normal rotors seems a bit high. You should have gotten the two piece ones. They dont squeal.

Come live in Aus for a while, we get drilled when it comes to bike equipment besause there isn't that big a market down here. We could easily pay $80-$90 dollars for ONE standard Hayes 8inch rotor.

Maybe high prices are the reason there isnt much market down there...

Have you had any luck with ebay?

I'm not sure warming would be desirable for him if you follow my meaning.

Would it still come to over 100 bucks? Thats a pretty good reason not to live in australia.

We'd get killed in custoims and taxes. Oh well I guess I'll put up with it, we get a lot of good stuff down here;). We can get some stuff pretty sheap fro ma NZ company because they send it through some NZ company and we don't get taxed on it. If it costs less than $400, somehow someone got a new Cromotoze DH frame and it was "accidently" marked that it cost less than $400 and he got super cheap shipping with no duties.
