View Full Version : Quintana roo vs. felt
I can't decide between the quintana roo kilo - upgraded to ultegra 10 or the felt S22. The price works out to be a wash. Any suggestions?

p.s. what's wrong with Ultegra 9?

I did try the Kilo and did like it, but ended up blowing the budget on a "dream bike" instead... No experience with the Felt S22.... Inside Tri had a good article about 2-3 months ago regarding entry level tribikes and I'm almost certain that both the Kilo and the S22 were reviewed favorably. Don't worry too much about going to 10-spd versus 9-spd.... If you can get a better deal on a 9-spd bike, it's definately worth saving some money.

It looks like you get much better components on the Felt (which is to be expected)...the FD & RD are Dura-Ace instead of Tiagra. Felt has a reputation of offering more value and their fan base is near cult-like. Of course, everyone will tell you to pick the one that fits you best. Assuming they are both good fits, I personally would choose the Felt.

Like CJBruin said, the components are better on the Felt, but I think you said that the Kilo was upgraded to Ultegra 10.... In that case, the components are pretty much a wash and you simply just have to pick the bike that is the most comfortable. Personally, QR fits me better than Felt, hence I would pick the QR, you may be different. (I actually fit even better on my Kestrel Talon, but that is also more money....)
