Mountain Biking - How often do you get out and ride?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

1-4 hours a day, 4 like twice a week.
Normal day..45 min road, a later 45 on some glacier carved rock down by the sea, close to home.

I try to ride at least an hour every day. I usually get to the local off road trails two or three times per week.

A usual day is about 1 hour on Mt.Bike in the morning, about 2 hours on my CR 250, dirt bike that is, in the evening and then depending on the evening 30 min to 2 hours.
Not very often lately. I'm in the middle of some life altering crap, so the bikes are all away for the moment... waaaah!

I ride about 100-130 miles on the roadie per week and another 20-40 miles on the MTBs
I just started riding three weeks ago (unless you count the riding I did as a kid) and I've been riding almost every day. Generally 15mi or so 3 times a week XC and the other day just a few miles on the roads around the house.
6 days a week. Ride to and from to school 5 times a week which all together is about 30 km (18.75 miles) and ride to and from to work on sunday (3.2 km or 2 miles), not far which is good! So all together i probably ride around 35 km a week. (21.8 miles)
I ride the commuter as often as weather permits, and I ride my trailbike as often as I can get weekend time that isn't conflicted with a volunteer project.

real rides...4 days to 5 days a week...I might commute 1 or 2..but (here comes the anti bike) I prefer walking to work. Gives me 30 minutes to myself to daydream and just be on my own.

I'm riding 2-3 times a week right now, I do my best to do at least one in the dirt. (I'd ride daily, but I have other life commitments too, like hockey twice a week :D)

How much do I ride..... NOT ENOUGH. I weather and bike pending, I commute and ride weekends. I would love to get a job doing R and D for a bike company, riding a bike all day.
Ride XC on a single speed.

Usually 4 times a week: on Saturday and Sunday I ride around 4-5 hours of trails (quite aggressive XC and some light downhill) and perhaps some urban freeride if I'm not tired enough by the time I get back. :D On Tuesdays and Thursdays I ride to table-tennis training (don't worry, I take my bike into the hall and lock it to the rails = not going to be stolen :)) which is about 20 mins there and back. Not much but some nice little curb drops. :p
Nowadays teachers bomb us with homework so I often don't have time to ride in the weekdays (apart from to table tennis)
Trails are too far to be reached in weekdays too. :(
I've got 2 small kids at home so I don't quite have the time I used to.
Now that the weather is nice I ride my bike to work 3 or 4 times a week. 10 minutes to work, 25 minute hell ride home - nearly 1000ft of climbing. 1/2 paved, 1/2 trail. Then I get at least a 2 hour ride in every weekend.
Exactly 5 days a week. My wife works 2 days a week and I can't ride those days but I get on the bike, even if it's only for a half hour, every day she's not working.
Not sure if it's doing me much good physically, to go for a short ride on the roads, but it sure helps mentally, sets a good example for my kids, and keeps me in the habit of always choosing to ride when there's a chance to ride.
I ride trails at least once a week but the other rides are usually on the road. I ride everything on my MTB. I could ride my wife's road bike but I'd rather just be on my MTB since I'm riding for training/fun and not for speed.
I ride my singlespeed when pedaling around the neighborhood with my kids.
right now, i'm riding about 150 to 200 miles per week (all road.) i'm doing it in about three 50 to 60 mile rides and a couple of 10 mile round trips to/from work. i also do a spinning class 2-3 times per week, but i'm training for a big ride right now.
the AIDS/LifeCycle training plan says i should be doing a 75-90 mile ride once a week, and another just under... it's just hard to find the time (two small kids at home, etc.) well, i have to do 585 miles over 7 days in about a month, so i'd better figure it out.

That takes me back to the old anit drug psa.... "I do coke, so I can work harder. I work harder to get more money. I get more money, do I can do more coke......" I guess in our cases you can replace coke with bike.

Right now I'm doing about a 50/50 split between road riding and mountain biking. I get out everyday though and do a 20 mile trail ride once a week and a 50-60 mile road ride once a week. The other stuff is smaller amounts but I get on the bike at least an hour and a half a day.
I ride daily, usually 1.5- 2 hrs. Right now i am a new roadie and very conflicted on which bike to ride. Every morning i stair at them on the wall and wonder whether i should take to the road or to the backroads on the mountain bike.
