One of the local HD channels showed
The Wall this weekend. I saved it on
DVR and transfered it to DVD this evening.
While I had seen it when it was first released
(ok, I don't remember too much about that showing)
the thing that struck me about it tonight
is the overwhelming sense of isolation and loneliness.
Somehow that just doesn't come across as well
on the album.
I've got to say this is one of the few
albums that transcends the media and
translated well from aural to visual.
