For a cyclocross project: wondering if my Campy Mirage levers will work with V-brakes. Mirage levers are circa 1994, 8 speed. V-brakes, if purchased would be 2004 shimaNO. Thanks!

You can either run shorter V-Brakes (Tektro make a nice set) which may have clearance issues, or an eccentric pulley (e.g. "Travel Agent"). Why not regular cantis? (centerpull)

if you want ease of setup go woth pauls they are so easy and practial. worth the extra money.

The Avid Shorty canti's are also super easy to set up and work well.
