My Rockhopper Comp has a Manitou Splice fork. The adjustment knob on the top of the left hand fork has me confused. I thought this was the preload adjuster? I can turn it (counter-clockwise) until it doesn't turn any more. That appears to give me more sag and a bit more compression travel. However, if I turn it clockwise in order to tighten up the spring, the knob just turns and turns and turns and never hits a stop. Firmness doesn't appear to have changed that much. Is this normal?

My friend has a splice super, came stock on his jekyll, it doesn't have preload but a travel adjustment from 100-130 mm. I don't know why it wouldn't stop though, that seems weird. His broke twice, so you may want to have someone look at it.
