Mountain Biking - How do I do backhops?

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm not sure if you're talking about hopping on the back wheel or lurching/pedal-kicking, but I can't give you any tips on either one. There are good descriptions and videos on http://www.trials-online.com/ if you haven't been there already.
I'm sure you realize this, but your best bet is to hook up with a more advanced rider (or riders). With the popularity of trials in England you shouldn't have too much trouble finding people if you need to - check out the many UK based trials sites.
