I'm very happy tonight. :) I took my first real ride with my two kids, ages 5 and almost 7. The younger is still on training wheels, the older is just starting to be able to get going by himself on the larger bike he has this year. We were hand-delivering birthday party invitations to some of the older one's friends in the neighborhood, so we all three got on our bikes (mom was busy elsewhere) and rode the sidewalks around the neighborhood. We even had to cross a main road, for which we walked across as pedestrians, of course. Probably about 2 miles in all. First of many, I hope.
