[Moderator Note] Tips on how to do a Bunny Hop

1. Stand on your bike's pedals.
2. Get going about 5 mph.
3. Level the pedals, so that your feet are even, parallel to the ground.
4. Press down on the handlebars and pedals.
5. "Unweight" the bike - lift your feet and hands slightly, without breaking contact between yourself and the bike.
6. Pop into the air

well I am not an expet at this but the way i do it is just stand up on the pedals grip th handel bars like your going to do a short wheelie but instead of leaning back to bring the front wheels up, lean forward and jump but not too far forward or you land on the front tire and can flip onver.

Yea, you do lean forward while pulling straight up on the bars, but at the same time you don't want to be putting any pressure on the pedals, It's kind of hard to explain, it all happens in one quick motion.

Pull up on the handlebars until the front tire gets the height you want. then in one fluid motion lock your wrists and raise your elbows up and forward while unweighting your legs. you can practice the arm motion while grabbing the handlebars and standing off the bike, you should be able to get both wheels off the ground and feel some muscle usage at the top of your arm.

I read the whole thing last night, very informative.

I'm just afraid to try it.

Afraid to try it? It's not like you're going to get hurt running into a flimsy cardboard box.

I'm just going for jumping up on a curb and then benches and such.

It's the lifting the back end part that looks difficult, I think my feet will come off the pedals when I do the rear flex thing.

Don't practice on curbs yet, that can dent your rim. jump cardboard boxes in the grass.

step one: go to local petstore
step two: buy bunny
step three: name it "HOP"
step four: teach it tricks
step five: teach it to hop
step six: watch as your BUNNY HOP does tricks....
step seven: repeat as needed
step eight: release bunny into the wild and feel good about yourself until it gets hit by a truck crossing the road.
