My crankarm keeps comiong loose from the BB, it is relatively new, so is it normal? Or is there somethign i should do to keep it from getting looser?

keep tightening it until it stays tight or it may be the threads werent properly put in and in that case take you urr LBS to be looked had. urr spindle on the BB may also be worn out. or u may have stripped the crank arm bolt hole thingy

Crank arm bolt hole thingy... Is that the square hole? Because if so that is my problem, i think (not 100% sure) that it is a bit rounded.:rolleyes:

yah u need the tool go to urr LBS it should be covered

Man, get your bike to a good mechanic pronto and don't ride your bike until then.

If you have aluminum cranks and a hardened steel spindle (very standard arrangement), it will only take a little bit of riding ( less than one city block) with the crank loose to damage your crank beyond repair. The spindle will chew up the crank port lickety-split.

Most likely, the crank arm is toast. It's quite likely that the spindle is, too.

The spindel looks fine, but thanks for all your help. I'm positive my LBS will replace the crank, or at least the arms, so I'll bring it in this weekend.
