Mountain Biking - Shimano XTR M965 Hydraulic Shift-Brake problem
Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.
I have Shimano XTR M965 shifters and hydraulic brakes on my MTB. The rear brake hose and caliper still seem to have air in them although I rebleeded the brake several times in trying to get all the air out. The rear brake does not squeeze very tight. Every time I squeeze the lever hard to brake while riding, it would shift from the current cog to larger one(s).
Is this normal? What should I try to fix the problem?

Hmmm, I don't know which thread to answer this in - this thread, or this one:
I apologize for posting on two forums. After I posted the thread here, I realized the Bicycle Mechanics forum was a more appropriate place for this type of post.
