I'm soon to move from Ireland to Chicago and want to check out the racing sence. Can anybody tell me what the racing is like in and around the Illinois area. What kinda racing is it? Crits, road races, TT's, stage races etc etc.... Are there races on every weekend within say a 100-150 mile drive of chicago. Any info to do with the racing sence would very much appriciated.
Also, any good racing clubs. What's it like in winter, is it too cold to train on the road in winter, when does racing start.
PS. I hope to meet and greet many new American friends soon.
