Not too Hot, Not too cold

50F feels like a heat wave. Because of the hills here, overheating is a real problem for me. The past couple of day's it's been 50F so I"ve been wearing a ultra-thin short sleeve Hind shirt, gloves and long thin tights.

I arrive sopping wet *but comfortable*. My arms are comfortable also but red and cold to the touch. Do cold arms affect performance? Is that bad?

If you don't have some arm warmers, give them a try. You can pull them up on a descent and push them down on a climb without stopping. Very handy. I don't really know if it affects your performance, but the comfort factor is nice. It's one less thing to think about.
If my arms get too cold I am not comfortable. I figure it's worth it.

I second the armwarmers. I use them in the beginning, then roll them up and stash them in my bag (or jersey pocket if I have no jacket).

Warm here too. If I now want to bike in winter coditions, I'll have to fly to Barrow or
DeadHorse.
