Singlespeed & Fixed Gear - frame...

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

a guy I work with said he has a frame down in his basement, but he didnt' remember the name. perhaps this is a silly question, but what do you think it could be? yes, I know...that is REALLY vague, that is why I will put the following information, he said it was like "boccia" or "bocce" or something, and that sounds REALLY familiar to me, but I can't think of what it is...i would like to find some information on it, as soon as possible, but I won't see it until at least thursday... any help would be greatly appreciated, and mods, if this is just stupid, feel free to delete it...
thanks

Bottecchia would be my guess too. Made some really nice frames way back in the day. Carnielli really knew how to make frames. Used to own one as fixie conversion and its still the smoothest riding machine I've ever owned.
See http://www.classicrendezvous.com/Italy/Bottechia.htm.

May be worth browsing classic rendezvous when he tells you the name if its something different.

Bottecchia were kind of like an italian schwinn, they covered the whole spectrum.
I had a pretty nice one for a while, sold it many years ago, ran into a guy riding it tonight, still looks nice.

Nice, but kinda weird, like seeing an ex-girl.

without the weird not knowing what to say followed by an awkward silence and cold stares...

Tonight, for me, there was a bit of an awkward silence, and at one point I even reached out and stroked her, I mean it...
