I've posted before about my problems wth being fair skinned. Well, I presently
use SPF 45 and it's about the best stuff in the market, and I STILL get burned.
Granted, it's summertime in S Fla and I stay out for 6 hours at a time.
I've exhausted about all of my sunscreen options.
So now I am looking to purchase a summertime long sleeve jersey.
I need suggestions! What would you suggest for a Grey or Neutral colored
long sleeve summer jersey?
I am assuming lyra and not wool.

I also burn easily and I'm allergic to every sunscreen I've tried. I begin the season by riding either early in the morning or later in the afternoon. This keeps me out of the mid-day sun. Eventually I build up a tan. I also wear long sleeves (Dri-Star) well into the season.

The running joke that I tell everyone is that it is hard to stay this white, so I must use sunscreen.
I suggest you try Bullfrog Spary On SPF 30 or 45. It's great. I've sat through 4 hour daytona races in the sun, cycled for hours upon end, and it never let me down.
I do reapply about every hour and a half to two hours.
Performance had a sale on some white long sleeve jerseys about a month ago. I picked up two but have not tried them. I'm guessing white or High Vis Yellow may be the way to go.
You can get SPF 60 sunscreen. If you're out for 6 hours be sure to reapply every couple hours.
Walmart sells SPF60 for much less than $32/bottle. I would just hate to wear a long sleeve jersey in South Florida in the summertime. The high humidity makes it hard enough to stay cool as it is. Let us know if you find a good solution.
