I'm going through my first home build and I have hit a sang.

I went to install the front brake caliper and the stud that goes through the mounting hole on the fork is to short. I thought it might be the rear one, but that one is even shorter. I cannot figure out a solution, besides buying a different caliper.

Vital info if needed: The brake is a Dura-ace 7700 and the fork is a Kestrel EMS.

Thanks in advance for any help.

HJRYa get a longer nut. Many LBS should have. Trek or Lemond dealers are a good bet.

If you got that Kestrel new, chances are the longer nut mentioned above is in the box it came in. Just put one of those (Kestrel ) on my new build today with Chorus calipers.

Thanks everyone. That was an easy one. I feel pretty dumb. I just picked up a longer nut. Take care.
