General Cycling Discussion - What does your bike say about you?

My recumbent trike with a plastic frog on top and a rainbow-striped windsock says to everyone that I'm in no hurry, that I like to have fun, that I like color, and that I've still got a little it of a kid in me.

'Paint me! Pleeeease!.'

Not as much as my porch(needs to be painted) or my grass says about how much time I'm on my bike.

I guess my bike says that I've got a life other than cycling too, not my main priority in life, or it may just say cheap ba*tard, give it UP!

The pristine state of my bike says I don't get to ride it much.

How about just how loyal I can be for having kept this old peugeot around so long.

Or maybe how snotty I am for not wanting to ride the hybrids because they're heavy and only good for hauling beer home from the liquor store.

When you look at my bike, it gives you the sense that I am casual, ride for the mere pleasure of experiencing my environment and that I baby it...

(But my bike is probably saying "She loves me more than the show car! Neener neener neener!!").

Indestructable, but not light. The dog weighs less than the tires.

My bike basically says "Hi, ride me!"

....as far as about me...it says I like to go fast....kind of a given....now considering I have a ways to go before I'm fast enough to satisfy my need for speed...well that's another story :p

When I ride my folder, I'm basically looking for attention and get it!
When I ride my beatup street hybrid, I'm doing transportation cycling.
Any of my other of my new bikes means I'm just going for a fast or club ride.

Mine says I'm a dirty, filty person who only cleans when chunks of mud fall out of the chain.
Kinda like judging a person by the shine of his shoes...

Recent conversation when all 4 bikes cornered me for an 'intervention"....

Maillot Jaune: "quit futzing with us and just ride..."
Tete de Course: "Or get me finished, geez, it's been almost a year..."
5500: "I really don't want to lose the decals or go back to the Ultegra 9 - I deserve so much better..."

Are you sure that they're talking about you? Maybe they're just chating one another up. Procreating. How do you suppose that the little bike with the small wheels came to be there?

My bike says, "I can take corners faster then this, come on now go faster its ok, I can handle it". It also says I LOVE BLUE!!!

Mine quietly states this guy is so f***ed up.

Oh I donno... I have started keeping one of my bikes in a beautiful state... it just gives me a certain positive feeling to go out and jump on that bike... sort of like being all dressed up and ready to go.

Of course my other bike got jealous and then pulled a spoke through the rim in protest... so it's on the rack now and getting a bit of TLC... finally.

My bike says a lot about me. Mostly behind my back though.

I found it poking out of a dumpster. Enough said.

My bike stopped saying anything after the diet ended up being in name only. :)

The new scar on the outer chainring says I'm a dumba$$ for riding too close to the curb while still clipped in.
