Triathlon - Softride for Heavy Rider

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

I'm fairly new to the sport, on my way down from 265# to 200#, at 225# right now. Research I've done indicates that Softride Classic or Qualifier frame is a very comfortable bike to ride so I'm seriously considering one. Anyone in the Clydesdale class have specific experience with Softrides? I'm thinking of buying used just to make sure it all works out like I hope. Other "heavy rider" posts say that wheels are most critical for us Clydesdales. Any recommendations? Will Ultegra components take the pressure of a heavy rider?

I may be mistaken but I think the max weight for a Softride is 225#. I haven't ridden on one but they seem like pretty nice bikes.
