I'm returning to cycling after 8 years away. I commuted and took relaxed around town weekend rides for a few years in the 90's. I owned a Fuji hybrid, a Raleigh MTB and a vintage Crescent I found at the flea market for $10. I sold the MTB and hybrid, so all I have now is the oldie. Although the Crescent (red Pepito) is in excellent condition I don't know that it would be up to carting my 200+ pounds 10 miles a day on city trails and streets. I've pretty much decided to get a hybrid, either Cannondale or GT. I found this forum while searching the web to decide what to buy. Looks like some friendly and knowledgeable folks hang out here. Thanks for the info I've gleaned from lurking the last few days.
