Just my guess.... as long as you are wearing clothing, nobody cares...
I wear baggy shorts because I really don't like people pointing at me and laughing. :roflmao:

I don't wear baggies cos I don't like people pointing at me and laughing cos I can't sit on the saddle because they are hooked on the nose of the saddle.
We never wear baggy shorts because we ride on roads and the are not as aerodynamic.
My shorts an't too baggie.

Baggies have pockets. Sometimes that's a good thing. I pretty much wear baggies if the ride involves a coffee shop or something similar. If it's all off road, either shorts are fine for me.
Baggy shorts have a way of hooking on the saddle and getting pulled down when you stand. Whether you'd consider this a good thing or not probably depends on your attitude toward your stoker ....
We don't have a tandem yet...but if someone makes fun of our stuff, well that's why I will carry my wife on the back. She's pretty good at going toe-to-toe with attitudes. Not that she has one herself...she's a school counselor and deals with immaturity on a daily basis. One of those Dr Phil types...says it like it is and not afraid to insult your intelligence if you're asking for it. I usually just crawl under a rock when it gets started...
