It seems like my browser is really slow navigating this site when there are more than about 1000 users logged on (which is happening fairly regularly these days). Is anyone else having this problem?

Yeah... page loads are exceeding 3/4 mins. It's not the browser. Server gets hammered.

I'm upgrading the software tonight, and have plans to bring on a 2nd server for the high load rather soon.

Why did it start slowing down in the past 2-3 days? It was fine for the past few months..

We've gotten a lot of new members in the last few weeks. I think Joe got another 10,000 members in a few short months (like 2 months?).

Is it still slow for you? I have had work done on the server and software, PHP caching, optimizing MySQL etc. It should be rather speedy up to ~1500 users.

It was slow just now so I checked. 1496 users!
