Alt Bike Culture - Video: How to ride a tall bike

Bikeforums.net is a forum about nothing but bikes. Our community can help you find information about hard-to-find and localized information like bicycle tours, specialties like where in your area to have your recumbent bike serviced, or what are the best bicycle tires and seats for the activities you use your bike for.

Since, "how the hell do you ride that thing" is the most common question I get when riding a tall bike, I thought I'd post this handy video. There's no sound, and it is filmed with a little digital camera, but it shows me mount and dismount the tall bike. Mounting consists of getting a foot on a pedal, and then 'hop hop hopping' up to speed, then standing up and riding off. Dismounting is the opposite!
Its an AVI, about 5 megs, and only about 20 seconds long. I'm not sure how to compress it any further than it is.

Next up: Why to ride a tall bike! Featuring Sam kicking SUVs, making slam dunks, weaving about while impossibly drunk, off-roading it, and other such tall bike antics. After watching him cavort about town, you'll want your own tall bike! Its like a regular bike, only tall! Yay!
Well, maybe I won't make that video..
Let me put it this way, if 'why' is a question you even need to ask, you may be in the wrong place. ;)

Cool video, cool bike also. I don't know if I'd feel safe riding that thing around, I'm used to being able to touch the ground with my feet if I need to.
