I'm going on my first tour, starting from Jackson, MS and ride the Natchez Trace Parkway to Nashville. Anyone have any tips or suggestions. There are five of us and we have lodging taken care of. :)

I don't know the area but there are a few things I always think about.
Bring a map (of course). With that many people going, stay flexable on your route and speed. Bring lots of water. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.

I've never done the whole thing at one time but have ridden lots of day trips. There is a guidebook that gives a lot of information on stores, lodging and much more. You should get a copy if you don't already have one. It is a great place to cycle, hills are gradual and a beautiful area. Have a great time.

Be careful around Tupelo. Locals use the Trace as an expressway. Especially around rush hours in the morning.

which is harder, going south to north, or north to south? Trying to figure out the logistics of just doing a one way trip.

Thanks for the encouragement. We are traveling south to north. My guidebook says there is not a lot of difference with either direction.
