please invent a bb spindle with a replacable head. while your at it, please invent and market an internally geared fixed hub that switches between freewheeling and fixed. ooh ooh, or invent an internally geared bottom bracket that works for fixed gear.

Isnt that a Schlumpf?

No. Just buy the correct bottom bracket.

Take one freehub.
Place under high-pressure wash.
Hang to dry for one week.
Lace and mount hub to wheel.
Where's my check? :D

no, they can't work with fixies. something about not being able to take pressure in the wrong direction.

Back to the original question... You might want to check out: http://www.thethirdhand.com/. If anybody sells or knows of such an adapter, it'd be these guys. The guys offer some pretty esoteric parts. They're located in your neck of the woods - Ashland, OR.

No you don't. That sounds like a nice old frame deserving of parts that are appropriate to it's era, not some jerry rigged BS

For the love of god, please don't do it! Next you'll be wanting to put an integrated headset in that frame...

yeah, here's the thing. I am very broke at the moment. i cant afford a phil bb and nice new campy cranks. i can however stare at the brand new truvative cranks that i got kicked down. just looking for a temporary fix.
can you use the truvative cranks that take a square taper?

seriously, though. I think you're hosed.
I know Phil makes French 'cups', and I've heard you can put a UN72 between them. They might even fit the important part of your ISIS.
Then again, they might not.
